Spearfishing Camps
We’re fishermen to the core here at Blue Marlin. The Gulf Stream is in our blood and occasionally vice versa. From its origins in the Bahamas all the way up to the Lofoten archipelago in Norway, we’ve fished it and speared it (long before anyone on Netflix did).
If you’re addicted like us, or want to be, then join one of our all-inclusive spearfishing camps. We cater to all levels of experience, whether you’re a complete novice or can put us to shame. You just book your flights, and we handle the rest: logistics, lodging, boat, fish cleaning, drinks, meals, etc. Your hard-earned catch will be cooked fresh each night and seasoned with the world’s best sea salt. Come enjoy the comraderie and success of these well-planned trips.
A full consultation is required before booking so that we can match your group’s experience level to the type of diving required for each spot. Our camps are most cost efficient in groups of 3-5, but we can host individuals and larger groups no problem.
Virginia

Inshore
Diving the CBBT is a rite of passage for VA spearing. Low visibility brings big fish and low competition.
Species: Spadefish, Sheepshead, Tautog, Rockfish, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel
Nearshore
If pea soup isn’t your speed, VA offers some great spearing in better viz on the Chesapeake Light, offshore wind turbines, and various buoys.

North Carolina

Nearshore
More pressured than the Chesapeake Bay, but full of buoys and opportunities with a higher concentration of cobia.

Offshore
For non-stop action, you can’t beat a day hitting the Navy Towers. (Bluewater drifts for experienced divers)
Species: Amberjack, Cobia, African pompano, Cubera snapper, Blackfin tuna, Mahi (Yellowfin, Wahoo)

Inagua
- Five day camps.
Come to our little slice of paradise on Inagua to give the ol’ smoke pole a try. Yes, trigger mechs are BANNED, so you’ll be using a pole spear or Hawaiian sling. The clearest waters we’ve ever seen are calling your name, not to mention Nassau grouper and queen conch.
For experienced spearos only, inquire about our exclusive upgrade to Little Inagua. Beachside tents and virgin waters! A tad heavy on tax collectors…

Lofoten
- five day camps.
Visit the land of the midnight sun to dive the Artic Circle with us in Norway. Kelp forests and sea mounts in 40 ft+ visibility are almost as pretty as the surrounding mountains. Pollock, cod, halibut, and wolf-fish await.
For spearos with cold water experience, we can hunt later in the season when the big boys come shallow more consistently. Our friends at Arctic Spearfishing have really dialed in the late season spots. Better pack your 7mil!
